Divine pigments are a colorant that can be added to resins to create opaque, solid colors. Divine Pigments have been tested and can be used with polyester resin, polyurethane resin (Alumilite Clear, Clear Slow, and White), and epoxy resin. The amount of pigment required will vary depending on the amount of resin being used. When doing pen blanks, it is recommended to use about 1 gram (.04 oz) for every 100 grams (3.5 oz) of resin to be sure you cannot see the pen tube once turned. The pigments are very versatile. They can be used by themselves for their standard coloring, or they can also be mixed with mica powders and/or dyes to create custom colors.
The pigment can also add coloring to epoxy for gluing in pen tubes. This will help reduce or eliminate seeing the pen tubes on translucent blanks.
